Myan Beach Ceremony….. posted by on December 12, 2012

For Thanksgiving we attended the International Womens Club of Cancun dinner and charity auction at the Villa Del Palmar near Punta Sam and Isla Blanca. Part of the festivities was a Mayan beach ceremony……………….

It is mainly to thank the Gods for what they give us and to ask pardon for the wrong things that we do to the land and nature.    The smoke they put over us was for it’s purifying effects.  The candles that you place on your heart and are then placed on the fire, are for asking the Gods for something that is important to you.
The only available light was from the fire on the beach so the film is not as good as I had hoped it would be. However it was a fun thing to be able to do in late November right on the beach in the evening.
