It looks like Ida’s aim was terrific. She threaded the eye of the needle going right between Cancun and Cuba off shore through the Yucatan Channel. Here are some pictures taken around 1pm this afternoon (Sunday Nov.8,’09)

We were lucky that Ida gave us a “Free Pass”. This is the 3rd hurricane that has done so.
